Inscriptions on both sides. Dated to regnal year 29 (1686/87) on the reverse and 1096 AH (1684) on obverse. 25mm, 11.55 grams. Surat mint. Krause-300.
Nice large example, seems to be a mule of an obverse and the reverse from different years.
Aurangzeb was the son of Shah Jahan. In a coup against his father his imprisoned Shah Jahan in the famous Taj Mahal.
