These coins were very crudely cast in small local foundries and are among the crudest and least attractive of all ancient Chinese coins. They were made during the The Kingdoms period of division in China. They are generally found in southern China, in the area which belonged to the Southern Han and Chu Kingdoms. More precise attribution of these coins is impossible at this point.
