Issued by the Bank of Charleston, Virginia, $5 denomination featuring a portrait of George Washington in the lower left and a scene of George Washington at Valley Forge in the upper left, and a bald eagle in the middle. Dated August 15, 1859. Rare pre-Civil War note. A problem-free attractive note, good edges, a few minute pinholes. 

From an old US collection, the collector paid 195$ for it at some point judging from the collection ticket.
