These coins with a standard inscription wishing the Emperor a long or eternal life were cast under Liao and Western Xia. They come in various sizes, these small pieces are attributed to early Liao period based on the casting style. Under Liao, they are considered temple coins, given as donations or used for ceremonial purposed. In Zhongguo Guqian Daji two small issues are shown, both without the symbols on the reverse. We could not find similar types with symbols on the reverse in the standard literature.
