Cornelia Salonina was a Roman empress in the 3rd century CE, the wife of Emperor Gallienus, who ruled from 253 to 268 CE. Although little is known about her personal life, Salonina was known for her refinement and influence at court during a time of great instability for the Roman Empire. Her image appears on coins, often portrayed as dignified and serene, suggesting she was respected and possibly played a role in imperial propaganda to project stability. She held the title Augusta, and after Gallienus was assassinated, it is believed she and her son may have been executed by rivals, though the details remain uncertain.
