Legate Umbrius Tereventinus.

Severus Alexander (208–235 CE) was a Roman emperor who ruled from 222 to 235 CE, becoming the last emperor of the Severan dynasty. Ascending the throne as a teenager after the assassination of his cousin Elagabalus, Severus Alexander's reign was heavily influenced by his mother, Julia Mamaea, and marked by efforts to restore stability, promote good governance, and maintain peace within the empire. He was known for his relative moderation, religious tolerance, and administrative reforms. However, his perceived weakness and reliance on advisers led to dissatisfaction among the military, especially during campaigns against Germanic tribes and the rising Sassanid Empire. In 235 CE, he was assassinated by mutinous soldiers, an event that triggered the beginning of the Crisis of the Third Century.
