Nice billon "ghadaiya" drachm, Paramaras, c.1100-1150, Malwa, India
Very stylized Sassanian-style bust facing right with a distinct "nose" / Stylized fire altar. 14mm, 4.44 grams. Maheshwari p. 150ff.
Scarce high grade coin struck in decent silver. The chronology of these issues is difficult to understand, but Deyell placed these coins before the "Omkara" issues in the 12th century.
These coins were minted in Malwa India by the Rajput Paramara dynasty rulers of the area.
