Farrukhsiyar was the Mughal emperor of India from 1713 to 1719. He ascended the throne with the support of powerful nobles but struggled to maintain control over his empire. His reign was marked by political instability, with infighting among the nobility and growing influence of the court's influential officials. Farrukhsiyar's attempts at reform, including efforts to curb the power of the nobility and introduce fiscal policies, were largely unsuccessful. In 1719, he was deposed and executed by a conspiracy of the court elites, marking the end of his brief and turbulent rule.
