This is a very interesting Kali type, combining the two types of fanams - obverse of the "Kali fanam" and the reverse of the "Vira Raya" fanam. It is listed as "type II" in Herrli. The authentic coins of this type are usually of lower gold quality, like this piece. Some modern fakes exist, all seem to be struck in high quality gold.
