[Aurangzeb?] / Alamgir / Badshah // Dar al-Fath Ujjain. 20mmx10mm, 6.99 grams. Ujjain mint. KM -; cf. Zeno 92295.

Very rare latest provincial style bronze Mughal coin from Ujjain.

After Malwa was conquered by Akbar, the old style bronze coins (very different from the normal Mughal coinage) continued to be struck there. These Ujjaini coins in the name of Akbar are common, while Ujjaini coins in the names of his successors Jahangir and Shah Jahan are less so. Ujjaini provincial coins in the name of Aurangzeb are unpublished (not in KM or other standard catalogues), but a few pieces are posted on Zeno.
