Five punch-mark symbols / Small bankers' marks. Irregular flat silver planchet, 17mmx14mm, 3.36 grams. Gupta/Hardaker ISPC series IV XXXI G, type with 4 symbols is unlisted.

Unusual coin with only 4 punchmarks (instead of the standard 5), with the last one probably omitted in error. Very interesting and rare.

The Nanda Empire originated from the kingdom of Magadha in Ancient India during the 5th and 4th centuries BC. At its greatest extent, the Nanda Empire extended from Bengal in the east, Punjab in the west and as far south as the Vindhya Range.
